While surfing, Sean Pollard, 23, lost both hands to a shark off Kelpids Beach, Western Australia. After the incident two white sharks were killed that were in the area. Both of their stomachs were empty. Reconstruction of the shark's size based on the tooth imprints on the surfboard indicated a shark size of 3 to 4m. The two sharks caught had a size of 2.7m and 3.5m, respectively.
